Class details

Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026
Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (bring a lunch)
Cost: $40.00 CAD
Class size: limited to 4 students

You'll start by piecing your blocks, then add orange peel shapes to bloom them into flowers. Along the way you'll learn how to prepare and fuse your appliqué pieces and stitch them down by machine for a clean, lasting finish.

There's plenty of room to make it your own — play with colour, arrangement, and thread to create a piece that's uniquely yours.

Appliqué fabrics and interfacing are provided — just bring your background squares and basic supplies.

What to bring

9 squares of white fabric, cut to 6½" — a white with a small black or grey print is ideal, but plain white works too
Sewing machine in good working order (with manual, power cord, and foot pedal)
Open-toe (appliqué) presser foot
Thread in a variety of colours for appliqué
Neutral thread for piecing
Seam ripper
Sharp fabric scissors

Included in class

All appliqué fabrics
